Poly Terrazzo and Fibreglass planters

Artificial plants: These can be inserted into polystyrene blocks placed inside planters.

Live plant and tree planting: We recommend sealing the inside of the planters with a waterproof sealer prior to planting.  Failure to do so may result in a change to the structural integrity of the planter and may void the warranty

Installation and maintenance:

The planters shall be installed on firm, even ground which is free from rubble and debris.

  • Do not install on a slope
  • Do not install on rocks, gravel, crushed rock, aggregate or exposed aggregate surfaces
  • Sweep the surface where the planter is to be placed prior to installation
  • Like all coatings, they will fade over time.  We recommend a good quality protective clear coat be applied annually to assist with preservation of the appearance of the planters
  • The planters are made to withstand subtle temperature variations.  As such, sudden heating or cooling of the planters via artificial means should be avoided.  Example:  On days exceeding 30 degrees C, do not water the external surface of the planter.
  • Clean planters regularly with cold water and sponge only.  Do not apply chemicals or detergents ( Black terrazzo planters are prone to fading and can be brought back to life with Vaseline applied with a dry cloth)  Do not apply Vaseline to grey or white poly terrazzo planters
  • Do not attempt to move planters once there is any contents inside them, either by manual or mechanical means.  Planters should only be moved when completely empty
  • Transport planters on pallets or in crates.
  • Do not install planters in areas where impact is likely.
  • Do not drop planters or place in areas where impact is likely

The supplier has provided the maintenance instructions above.  Failure to adhere to these instructions will cause the warranty to be void.

Warranty:

The planters are warrantied against faulty workmanship for a period of 90 days from date of supply. This is a return to base warranty and planters must be returned to the suppliers premises at the customers cost for inspection and evaluation.  Where the defects are found to be a result of faulty workmanship the the supplier reserves the right to repair, replace or refund the defective planters at its discretion.

If the planters are found to be damaged by result of impact, dropping, poor maintenance or being moved when full, warranty is void.
